Plug-in models need only a standard outlet. If yours is hard-wired or runs on 240V, any licensed electrical contractor can connect it: ask for a dedicated circuit for an electric fireplace and give them the installation manual on this page. We don’t recommend or arrange electricians.

The Dimplex Vital Spark is a 26-inch built-in electric firebox with the look of a classic fireplace: moulded logs over a glowing ember bed, optional crackling sound, and thirteen flame colours at three speeds. It plugs into a standard outlet and installs without major renovation, in a new mantel or an existing opening.
